Chicago Coalition for the Homeless

Mission: Since 1980, the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) organizes and advocates to prevent and end homelessness, because we believe housing is a human right in a just society.

Key Campaigns:

  • Policy specialists, organizers, and attorneys advocate for and with families, youth, ex-offenders and low-wage workers.
  • Shelter outreach and a mobile legal aid clinic for youth reaches 5,900 people/year.
  • Projects include a housing campaign, Re-Entry Project, Speakers Bureau, and “No Youth Alone” campaign led by our Youth Committee of 44 providers statewide.

    Upcoming Events: National Homeless Memorial Day event — Thursday, December 18, 6 p.m. A free service led by CCH, the Ignatian Spirituality Project and Old St. Pat’s Church, at 700 W. Adams, Chicago.
