The National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is opening a new location at 2425 W. Division St. in Humboldt Park to provide more availability to its clients after more than a decade without an office in Chicago. The opening of this second office in Illinois marks an expansive effort to better serve the children, youth, and families of Chicago.
As a youth and family advocacy organization, NYAP currently offers services in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, Georgia, Illinois, and Florida. Some of the services provided are therapeutic foster care, behavioral and mental health services, family preservation and reunification, mentoring, among others.
Some of NYAPʼs primary goals are reuniting families, granting families to those who are without them, and aiding individuals to be positive and whole members of society. NYAP defines itself as “an energetic instrument of compassion and change in the lives of children, youth, and families and the systems, structures and practices that affect them.”
