Before joining the StreetWise team he first worked as an accountant for Beatrice Foods for 6 years. Later, he worked at AT&T for 26 years as an accountant, as well. He also volunteered for 1 year in Dubuque, Iowa for the Sisters of Saint Francis where he volunteered his time at a men’s homeless shelter, at a school working with 4th and 5th graders, and at a nursing home. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Franciscan Outreach Association here in Chicago, where he has been Head of the Finance Committee for the past 3 years and has volunteered for the past 10 years at their soup kitchen.
Patrick is currently working on the Transitional Jobs Program at StreetWise in order to assist people to gain employment through developing the educational and communication skills necessary to work. He also goes to various social service agencies to promote the program in order to assist more people in gaining employment. Participants for the Transitional Jobs Program must go through a series of screenings to be eligible for the program and must also complete 40 hours of classroom training in order to develop the skills necessary to receive a job.
Patrick enjoys golfing, baseball, and spending time with his family. He received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago in 1978.
