Jessica has long been a pioneer and champion of impact investing in Chicago. She is the CEO of Impact Engine, launched in 2012 as an accelerator fund with the goal of identifying promising entrepreneurs starting businesses with the potential to drive both attractive financial returns and positive social change. She is also the Managing Partner of Impact Engine Ventures where she has raised tens of millions of dollars in venture capital and private equity funds to support worthy companies that aid in the alleviation of poverty, environmental sustainability, education and health. Prior to Impact Engine, she led the creation of McDonald’s Corporation’s global and U.S. sustainable sourcing strategies and worked in the field of urban economic development at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City. Jessica is currently on the boards of Metropolitan Planning Council, OneGoal Chicago, The Honeycomb Project, the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at Chicago Booth, and Fixer. Crain’s Chicago Business named her to its list of 40-Under-40 in 2013 and she served as a 2014 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow.
