A Safe Haven Foundation will host its 1st annual GOLF! to End Homelessness event Thursday, September 5 at the Bloomingdale Golf Club, 181 Glen Ellyn Road in Bloomingdale. Proceeds will benefit homeless people residing at ASHF. The social business enterprise non-profit and its network of public/private partnerships help 5,000 people at 29 locations each year to attain self-sufficiency.
“It is a wonderful opportunity to invite leaders from the community, business and government to join us to participate in a fun get-together, enjoy a game of golf, socialize and network and make a difference at the same time!” said Neli Vazquez-Rowland, president of A Safe Haven Foundation.
“As a Link, Leverage and Align partner of A Safe Haven, Enova and its employees donate, volunteer and participate in events that benefit the foundation,” said Mike Gilhooly, head of public relations at Enova International, Inc. “I’m looking forward to a great day of golf and meeting others who share Enova’s commitment to furthering the mission of A Safe Haven.”
Event registration begins at 8:30 a.m., shotgun start is at 9 a.m. Early dinner is at 2 p.m. Individual play starts at $150; sponsorship levels are $1,000 to $5,000. For more information, please visit www.ASafeHaven.org.
