The north end of Loyola Beach offers a peaceful spot to set an umbrella or blanket.

The Art Wall at Pratt Street on Loyola Beach reflects the diversity of Rogers Park.

Dunes provide a little bit of country while the Art Wall and an ice cream vendor bring you back to Chicago at Loyola Beach.

Looking south over the Loyola Beach dunes at the apartment buildings on Hollywood and the John Hancock building in the foggy distance.

Lost Eras antique store, with over one million items in stock at 1511 W. Howard St., has outfitted theatre and movie productions, including Public Enemies with Johnny Depp. The 15,000 square-foot store also does a booming business in masks and costumes at Halloween.

Free football is just one of the youth programs at the new Gale Community Center on Howard Street.
